Reality programming is evolving. It's no longer enough to get famous by having your boring, everyday life chronicled. Now, it's about being filmed on your quest to fame and fortune, whether it's "Popstars," "Making the Band," or the show that finally seems to have gotten it right, "American Idol."

To this end, Bravo has given a second season of "The It Factor" the go ahead for a 13-episode run to begin in January. While the first season took place in New York, this time around the cameras will follow nine young actors pursuing careers in Los Angeles.

From the first group, several of the participants have some success at snagging mainstream roles, including:

  • Godfrey -- Orlando Jones' replacement in the 7-UP ad campaign, Godfrey is currently developing his own show for MTV and hosting "I Bet You Will" for the network.

  • Miranda Black -- Played Samantha Jones' (Kim Cattrall) assistant Clea in two episodes of "Sex and the City."

  • Michaela Conlin -- Stars as San Francisco intern Maggie Yang in ABC's fall drama "Meds."
